Key Responsibilities:


Lead audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with BDO methodology and international auditing standards (IFRS, ISA).
Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ businesses, industries, and internal control environments.
Perform risk assessments and substantive audit procedures to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations.
Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support for their professional development.
Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to delivering value-added insights.
Collaborate with managers and partners across BDO’s global network.


Additional Duties:


Represent BDO professionally at all times through punctuality, conduct, and appearance.
Maintain accurate records of time and project progress.
Meet deadlines and deliverables in line with engagement expectations.


Candidate Profile:


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in external audit.
Working knowledge of IFRS and international auditing standards.
Fluency in Azerbaijani; advanced English required; Russian is an asset.
Experience auditing clients across various sectors.
Progress toward ACCA qualification (preferably completion of fundamental level exams).
Candidates with internal audit experience are also encouraged to apply.
