Senior Cost Control and Planning Engineer

Job description


Manage and coordinate project cost control and planning activities across assigned projects.
Prepare and update project budgets, cost forecasts, and resource-loaded schedules.
Conduct cost analysis, tracking actual expenditures against planned budgets and forecasts.
Identify and report cost and schedule variances, advising corrective actions to maintain targets.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between cost, schedule, and scope baselines.
Review and validate BoQs, material take-offs, and procurement cost comparisons.
Participate in progress measurement, productivity analysis, and forecasting of completion costs.
Prepare periodic progress and cost reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for management review.
Review and evaluate change orders and variation requests for cost and time impact.
Support preparation of management reports and presentations for senior management.
Guide and mentor junior engineers in cost and planning tasks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal procedures, templates, and reporting tools.


Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
7-8 years of professional experience in cost control and planning within construction projects.
Cost management, project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and data analysis.
Leadership skills in cost control and planning.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Team management experience
Fluent in Azerbaijani and English.
Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel; knowledge of ERP or cost control software is an advantage.
